Arabic Language Taster Session for Beginners

Event info

  • 17th September 2025
  • 14:15
  • City Campus
  • This event is free

Are you interested in learning Arabic? Then join us for a University Language Programme (ULP) taster session.

The University Language Programme (ULP) offers a range of languages and stages, from beginner to advanced, to all NTU students. You can study a language module in addition to your degree course for £300, and if you pass we’ll give you the money back!  If you want to study a language as one of your degree course modules rather than as addition to your course, please check with your degree course team that you can do so. ULP classes take place on the City Campus for two hours per week during term time. We also offer an online-only module for Arabic stage 1.

During this taster session, we’ll give you a taste of a ULP Arabic Language class at NTU. You’ll learn a few basic phrases and interact with the other students using the target language. It’s the best way to get a taste of what to expect from a ULP course and to decide if it’s for you.

We’re offering tasters on campus and online – see Related Events below for the online sessions. There’s no need to book or prepare for the on-campus tasters, you can just turn up!

For more information please visit www.ntu.ac.uk/ulp email ulp@ntu.ac.uk or call 0115 848 2285

Student tips

Thoughts and advice from current students on your first few days with us.

Try and make time for some of the taster sessions offered, even if it’s outside your comfort zone. It’s a great way to meet other students too and possibly develop a new hobby.
