I'd make an effort to go out with people from halls or to throw yourself into the organised events for non-traditional students. You'll never have the opportunity again to spend an entire week making connections with people - don't waste it!
You will be nervous, and it probably will be slightly awkward at first, but don’t let it stop you from going to places alone, you will meet people and they may turn out to be your best friend!
